RETURN & REFUND POLICY

Orient Electric aims to provide the best customer experience to our Users/customers (hereinafter called as “you”) beginning from placing an order to initiating a return. While transacting on the Orient’s Website (herein called as website), you can expect a hassle-free experience on buying the product and can rely on us as your preferred shopping destination. 

RETURN/REFUND

  • Any cases of missing unit/ missing parts/ damaged unit/ defective unit must be raised with properly recorded unboxing video and images of the parcel within 24 hours of the delivery.
  • Return and Refund of Order is available only in the following circumstances:
    • Customer raises cancellation request before an order is dispatched. If an order is prepaid, the customer will get a refund of the amount paid within 7-8 business days in the original mode of payment.
    • Customer refuses the delivery at the doorstep. In that case, if an order is prepaid, the customer will get a refund of the amount paid within 7-8 business days, from the date the product reaches back to its origin, in the original mode of payment.

A product will not be refunded under the following circumstances:

  • Customer is not happy with the look/sound quality of a defect-free product.
  • Physical damage/missing unit if not notified within 24 hours of receiving the product.
  • An electrical surge or any damage caused by the user.
RETURN PROCESS
  • In the case of a return request, we reserve the right to conduct an inspection.
  • An authorized technician will be scheduled to visit your location to assess the reported issue.
  • If the issue is confirmed by the technician, they will evaluate whether repair or replacement of the said damaged part of the product is feasible. If so, appropriate action will be taken based on the assessment.
  • If neither repair nor replacement is feasible, only then will the return request be accepted.
  • If the reported issue is not verified during the inspection, the return request may be denied.
NO EXCHANGE POLICY
  •  Please note that we do not accept any exchange/replacement requests.

CANCELLATION POLICY

We believe in helping our customers as far as possible and has therefore a liberal cancellation policy. However, under this policy:

  • You can cancel orders for Products fully prior to the shipment is “Picked Up” by our Logistics partner. Orders cannot be cancelled once the package is “Shipped”. You can track your order under ‘My Order’ section of your account on our Website or via link send to your registered email id.
  • In case you change your mind in relation to a particular order of the Product(s), you may cancel the placed order on Platform under “My Orders” section of your account. However, no cancellation requests shall be valid once the product is “Picked up” by our Logistics partner.
  • On receipt of the cancellation request, we will attempt to cancel the order/shipments as long as it is not aligned to our transportation partner. You will receive an email as soon as the cancellation is accepted, and the amount paid towards the partial/full order will be refunded to you within 7-8 (seven to eight) business days from the date of acceptance of cancellation request. The amount shall be refunded to you through the same mode of payment used by you for the purchase.

 

Product Pricing

  • Product prices listed on the website are current. While every care has been taken to label the products accurately, errors in data entry and updating may occur. We reserve the right to cancel the order in case a transaction has been made where the price indicated was not the correct price. In the rare event that happens, we will give a full refund of all money received from the customer.
  • Prices are subject to change without advance notice.
  • All prices on the Website are in Indian Rupees. For international cards used on the site, the bank's applicable exchange rate and charges will apply. We have no jurisdiction on this and any disputes or queries on exchange rates and bank charges need to be directed to the bank or concerned institution that issued your card or payment instrument.
  • All orders are acknowledged at current pricing. We will bill at the price in effect at the time the order is placed on the Website.
  • Our products are liable for GST (Goods & Services Tax) in India and all prices listed on the site are inclusive of GST.

 

Security

  • Transactions on the website are protected by SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) and Secure Data Encryption using a 1024-bit process. Any information you enter when transacting with the Website is sent in a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) session and is encrypted to protect you against unintentional disclosure to third parties. This is an assurance that it follows the best security practices adopted by major online vendors where all payments are processed in real-time for your security and immediate peace of mind.
  • Credit card and Debit card information is not stored by us and is not taken by us. This information is taken directly by the payment gateway provided which is authorized and is compliant with the regulations and requirements of various banks institutions and payment franchisees that it is associated with.

Out of Stock Situations

Our endeavor is to ensure that all products listed on the site are available in stock for dispatch to the buyer. However, in case the same is not available for any reason, we will contact you within 2(two)business days and give you the option to exchange, delay or cancel the order based on your convenience.

 

Delivery of products

  • Purchases are shipped from our own or third-party warehouses/ stores or offices from various points in India. Our endeavor is to make the products reach you within 7 -10 Business days from receipt of order and payment depending on the address for delivery.
  • Since the transactions are authorized by the card holder, we do not take responsibility for incorrect addresses provided at the time of placing the order.
  • We are not responsible for damage of products after delivery.

 

Delivery Charges

Shipping and handling rates may vary based on product, packaging, size (if any), volume, type, and other considerations. The shipping and handling charges will be given at the time of check out and consumers will know about this before making the purchase/payment.
